^^ It's FAST! I can't say I've found any performance issues caused by fragmentation (outside of what Diskeeper tells me), but I suppose it doesn't hurt to run it every month or two.

I use PerfectDisk
The makers of PerfectDisk (on their site) say, "Only defragmenter certified by Microsoft for Windows Server® 2003 and Windows 2000". As to if there's any merit or advantage to this certification, I dunno.
Like previous suggestions, PerfectDisk isn't freeware either.

I don't think there's a huge difference between the XP default defrag and Diskeeper 8-9. Just a few bells and whistles and a better GUI. Am I wrong here?

how about a program called O&O Defrag? Any thoughts on this program, or issues?

I'm using Diskeeper Lite right now.
It's FREE and it's FAST. But it doesn't defrag page/swap files and you can't set up any scheduled defrags.
I'm thinking about spending some $$ on either the Home or Pro versions of Diskeeper 9.
