Good movies for Halloween ?

Was thinking about picking up a bunch of movies for Halloween, any suggestions? They don't have to be necessarily scary. Here is what I have selected so far:

Well it depends...are you looking for cult classics? In all honesty, I can't recommend any of the current horror films out there in Hollywood right now that were released this year. Here would be my list if I was to throw a party or something:

- Night of the Demons (1987, not the remake) - fun, cheesy 80s horror.
- Evil Dead - just a classic
- Let the Right One In - Swedish vampire flim (U.S. version is Let Me In...which doesn't live up to the original)
- The Horror of Dracula (1958) - a classic Hammer Horror film
- Fiend Without a Face (1958) - just a favorite of mine
- The Car (1977) - a flat out fun film
- Jacob's Ladder - not really a party movie, but damn does it disturb

There are many others I could list, but the post would be an entire page.

Stripper Zombies, both adults and children would enjoy this show if you put it on a projector on your house. I'd come by and trick and treat off your house just to sit there and watch it.

I love the Re-Animator series...and From Beyond which sort of ties into it (ok not really, but I always consider it to be part of that bunch).

Watch the Phantasm series. The first one especially. The rest are kinda up and down but there's some good parts in them.

Nosferatu is on Netflix Instant Watch.

Seems like people have forgotten a lot of the zombie movies. I actually like the remake of Dawn of the Dead (I think that's the right one), and the early ones are also pretty good mostly (the one that takes place at the farmhouse is one of the better zombie movies).

There's also a bunch of Tales From The Crypt and Twilight Zone type shows and movies that have several little tales. Peter Jackson has some Evil Dead-ish type of horror movies. The X-Files makes for pretty good Halloween watching I think too.

Oh, and I almost forgot John Carpenter. Halloween, The Thing, They Live, Prince of Darkness, and even Big Trouble In Little China.

Leviathan was kinda cool. Alien and Aliens are good.

Dead Snow.

Sounds like a fun idea; Im kind of tempted to send out an evite to some friends and see if anyone would be interested in coming over for a night of scary movies on halloween. I doubt anyone would be interested though; I think most of my friends would rather go out to the bars.

From looking at your avatar, I'm surprised you didn't say Eraserhead. That's a good movie to watch alone, in the dark, with the volume up loud. It's just creepy, and awesome.
