Good Paintball guns for Beginners

Well, I'm mostly looking for outside 4v4, no speedball. Why are barrels over 12" bad?

Can't go wrong with a Spyder. That's what I started with and then upgraded to an Automag. Too bad I don't play anymore. All this gear I have and nobody want's to go with me anymore.
