Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and the Winter Assault Expansion Pack was worthy of its Game of the Year award and can be picked up for a reasonable price.

Dune 2000 was a horrible remake of the grandfather of the RTS industry. I didnt enjoy it at all.

Out of all the suggestions, I cannot believe that no-one mentioned the Homeworld Series. Great graphics, strong story and innovative, yet simplistic gameplay made Homeworld one of the greatest games in my RTS collection.

Dune 2 on the Sega Megadrive was the best version.
If you like Star Trek, you could try Star Trek: Armada or Star Trek: Armada 2. Never played homeworld, was too engrossed in my studies & other games.
Warzone 2100 was great in its day.

Obviously you didnt play Dune 2 on the Amiga Even back then Consoles didnt stack up to a real computer
Star Trek Armarda was quite a fun game but not widely accepted. It was quite diverse and interesting but lacked a certain spark that makes a game memorable for being great.
