Not an ATI or nVidia fan (just wanted to be clear before continuing)
I find it interesting that nVidia fans are telling people to wait for months for something that most likely won't be much faster than an ATI card that's out right now. These are the same people who have been fixated on nVidia's framerate advantage ever since the first GeForce line and have been recommending those cards to people for years using the "why buy something slower" argument and the "maybe ATI will compete with their next product, but you shouldn't have to wait" argument.
The fact of the matter is that ATI has the fastest gaming card on the planet right now and they're going to release an even faster model at about the same time as the NV30 release; I don't see the point in waiting for months for a competing product that no one has actually seen in action yet (the thing just taped out a couple of weeks ago for god's sake).
What's good for the goose is good for the gander, so if you preach framerate then preach ATI (for the moment). Brand loyalty for vid cards is something I will never understand.
