If they follow last years schedule, then AT&T should be getting a device that's somewhere between a RAZR HD and whatever the third generation RAZR on Verizon will be.

I bet this comes with a 1080P screen and almost identical body stylings to the RAZR HD with a S400 Pro as a midrange phone on AT&T.

I'm kind of excited to see this device. Motorola has a pretty decent track record with solid built devices. Even if it doesn't have an octo-CPU or the latest and fastest anything, I'm going to be sold on it if it's a pure Android device or at least it's "with Google". I remember that little logo OEMs used to put on their phones.

Anyway, I'm still really excited about the X-Phone.

That does look nice, though a bit more bezel than I would like to see on top. Looks like they got the body down. Now for the internals...

Only thing that annoys me is that big Motorola logo. It's too big and off center.

I like the logo design & placement better than on my RAZR HD.

The rounded back on the new phone would be irritating on a table though.

Hmm... I missed those the first time around.

I'm not blaming anyone in this thread about it. I'm just confused as hell as to why they're trying to rehash old news as new news. I mean just search Google for X Phone and see the results in the news section with a bunch of sites that posted 2 hours ago, 8 hours ago, etc..

Surely it has to be different than the Nexus 4 in some meaningful way? I'm not sure why you'd be excited for this and not already have a Nexus.

LTE, and battery life. Also, I suspect it would have a microSD slot, and micro-HDMI.

Eh.. the curved back looks kinda meh. Who wants to see their phone rocking back and forth when they put it down on the table?

For all of half a second if even that? They don't continuously rock back and forth...

They will if you try typing on it.

Sometimes I do that with my phone. I put it on the table and type a few things on it. That keeps my other hand free.

I'm setting up an HTC One for an employee right now and I do notice the slight rocking when typing, but I'm swipe typing so it doesn't really bug me at all.

I'd think the more comfortable in hand feel of a curved back would far outweigh the few times you need to type with the phone on the table.

Having owned an iPhone 4 and a RAZR HD, I don't find a flat back uncomfortable.

In fact, I've owned an iPhone 3G as well, and I found that less comfortable than the iPhone 4.

dat thang dont even have the current generation of cpu **yawn**

BGR article doesn't list the CPU?

Edit: Other sources say S4 Pro, then meh.
Seems like a mid-range regular motorola phone and not the x phone then.

the xphone isnt going to have the specs that will make it worth getting, that phone will be ok, but obsolete compared to high end phone before its even released. by next month other manufacturers will have moved on to snapdragon 800.

I always wonder why people are so obsessed about the CPU. Having a good CPU is nice, but it's everything together that makes the phone.

Personally, as long as the phone has a decently fast dual-core CPU, I'm fine with that. Snapdragon Pro would definitely fit the bill.

The photo on BGR is very rounded. The One is far more muted. Furthermore, if you take Samsung's phones or previous HTC phones the roundedness is far more subtle. The X Phone as pictured would certainly rock around more. It's not very usable on the table.
