I stayed in Woodruff my sophomore year. Nice place. West campus is nice because you don't have to climb the hill on your way to class, but on the other hand, you have to walk further to class. City Cafe, Firehouse Subs, the chinese place with ridiculously fast delivery, and the coffee shop (West Side) are less than two minutes away. West campus is much closer to the CRC, which means you are more likely to go and exercise

Congratulations, that's a very good school.

The next big hurdle is not killing yourself while you're there. High suicide rate FTL. All of those really good tech schools suffer that problem, though. The moral is, don't be afraid of having a good time on the weekends (or at least every other week if you're swamped with work).

70/30 When I was there. I was one of the people they mention at Orientation: out in a year! Its a great school, just don't f*ck around and you'll do fine. There are girls on campus, there are hot girls on campus. Whether or not you've got the balls to talk to them is the deciding factor. Hell, if you've got some social skills it seemed almost easier as they don't expect that from the majority of guys.

Beware The Shaft. It doesn't tickle.

EDIT: Oh and I forgot: F*CK SCHEME. Never have I hated a class more than Intro to CS.

I just graduated from there with my MS one month. The undergrads I know have a good time, I'd advise you to join a fraternity if you are slightly inclined, because other than that there's not too much going on on the weekends around there. Also the study abroad program is pretty awesome, go for that as well. Enjoy, you should learn a lot, and Atlanta is awesome (if you aren't already from here)

That's an awful ratio... i wonder how the hell they even recruit athletes for their football program.

It's in Atlanta. Or Hotlanta as some like to call it. For temperature and partying. Plenty of good looking women in the city.

I got into GA Tech, but the whole 70/30 guy/girl ratio scared me off so I went to Vanderbilt Instead, just FYI we got a 45/55 guy/girl ratio, plus its at least 50/50 in biomedical engineering and those girls are all actually HOTT (and wanna be doctors FTW = rich). Of course I'm an electrical engineer which means 1 girl in my whole graduating class of 40 people = fail.

in my experience, SGA course critique is your best friend networking was the key to success if you know what I mean. but if you really want to learn something, I guess you should go hardcore and take what you think will help you in your career instead going for easy shots. Most everyone do ok after they get the drill, the difference mostly comes from the first year weed out classes IMO.
