 on doing the right thing. While everyone has a price your dignity is worth more than $500, good.

What does the invoice that arrived with the package say? Personally I'd keep it but you very well might be SOL if you ever need to warranty the thing.

I didn't read the entire thread but $430 dollars for a Dell 1905FP is a ripoff.

$252 FTW!

What are you complaining about. you got a huge monitor and unless they say something about it, keep the thing.

first, call them up first, if you want to let them know they make a mistake. two scenerio will happen.

1. they will tell you to keep it
2. they will tell you to pack it and they will send someone to pick it up.

You really think they're going to let me keep something thats $500 more than what I paid? Even if they sell it as refurbished they could still sell it for $750 easily. I guess we'll see tomorrow, but I highly doubt they will let me keep it.

Actually, I would let you keep it if I had goofed up on this particular deal-mostly because I wouldn't actually lose money on the transaction. There was a really hot deal a while back with the 2405FPW and a dualcore 9100 system for like $900 total and I think a lot of sellers got their 2405FPW's there.

Then again if this place didn't get it there they'd be out a bit of cash heh.

I guess it'd be a toss up between calling them up or just keeping it unless they call you up (in which case I'd send it back). It'd also depend on how big this 3rd party vendor is, if it's just one person I probably would send it back if they realized that they're out a 2405FPW. Of course if they don't realize it it's a good lesson for them to get their friggin' inventory straight.

I think I've only once mis-sent an item and I managed to get UPS/FedEx to pull the shipment.

Tried calling today, but had to leave a message. Guess I get the monitor for the weekend. Will try calling again on Monday.

Mine is worth a bit less...fortunately it was a crowded club.

You could keep the monitor, thereby saving shipping costs and embarrasement for yourself and the company. Then you could assuage your guilt by recommending this company to us and telling us their name. Provide this company with more business that will return more for this company than they lost.

I'll tell you what I'd do if I were you. If they do want the monitor back, I would just ask for a complete refund for the $430 along with them taking care of the shipping back, and then just jump on one of the Dell deals that come up. You'd save over a $100 doing so.

If they want it bad enough, they'll agree to giving your money back in full. This way, you're doing absolutely nothing wrong.

He, I forgot about this thread. Anyways, when I finally got a hold of them, they just wanted me to return it. I had used it that weekend (I mean, it was already opened and all), and I really liked it. It also had no dead pixels, which I thought was pretty good for a display that size. Well, after a little negotiating (it was already opened, and I told them they would have to compensate me for shipping the monitor back and pay shipping on the right monitor), I got them to take around $300 off the price and I decided to pay the rest and keep the monitor. So, happy ending after all.
