Plus, 730MHz XT is highly overclocked, while 550/1700 is a stock GTX512. Overclock that one, up to 625/1850 and as a nVidia man said, ATi is no competition for now. Perhaps when R580 will be out, if it will be out. My oppinion.
Suggestions?
Suggestion: Wait until you see the specs for real.
Check the other thread here or at nVNews dude- people are starting to buy 580/1730 512MB 7800GTXs and the flood gates are about to open.
There won't be anyone talking about the X1800XT any more, very, very soon. (no offense to the OP)
730X16= 11680
580X24= 13920 GTX wins fillrate by 19% on mega OCd XT!
865MHz GTX stock memory>>>>> 828MHz mega OCd XT memory.
Like I said, OCing, nice memory controller tweaks, whatever- the 512MB 7800GTX is going to be the card to get this year.
Although I certainly have to say those are huge OCs and you have a very nice card as well!
No offense taken!
If it really puts a hurting on the x1800 I'll return it and buy that one!
The overclock potential on my card BLOWS.
Its either that, or that overclocking program isn't the best yet..
650/800 is a instant artifact/crash.
