Haven't even attempted.. If 3dmark can't go 3 seconds, I know the games wont!

You never know, I'd try something and see what happens, it is possible that 3DMark isn't working right

No Dice..

The 5.11's seem stable though, and the card itself seems to be running great.. Wish I had some Overclocking headroom though!

ATI tool is out for x1000 series.. However i can't raise memory speed even 1mhz..

WTF!!! I think this card has some headroom, but for somereason it doesnt like to OC at the moment!

read how to properly oc' X1800XT and set voltages at http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=1842

5 step method:

1. In service manage in windows disable ATI Smart and ATI Hotkey services and reboot pc. You loose temp reading in CCC but can use ATI Tool to view temps.

2. Use X1800 Oc'ing tool and set 3D desired clocks using the 2D panel

3. Use ATI Tool to only verify and view the 3D clocks are set correctly. So should be same as what you set in X1800 Oc'ing tool.

4. Whenever you set the mem clock, remember to set the GPU core clock again, or it will fall back to lower clocks and when you set the GPU core clocks again, remember to set the mem clock again, or the same will happen.

5. Setting voltages, OC'ing tool reports wrong voltages so DO NOT use OC'ing tool to set voltages, use ATI Tool to set voltages. Example, GPU voltage reported in ATI Tool is 1.275v will show in OC'ing tool as 1.3v. Set ATI Tool GPU volts to 1.3v will show OC'ing tool at 1.325v but the real voltage measured by DMM is closer to 1.3v as set in ATI Tool.

it's how i got my 512MB HIS X1800XT to 11,007 3dmark05 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1506265

What's the difference dude?

When the results are officially recognized by Futuremark (makers of 3Dmark), the possibility of cheats and optimizations are greatly reduced because Futuremark has checks in place. You wouldn't want a skewed result?

i dont see you flaming rollo for saying what the 7800GTX 512mb 3dmark scores before it is even announced?

I think I just got two cards that SUCK.

Disabled all the services.. Used AtiTool to raise the voltage.. Raised my 3dclocks slowly in Overclocking util. Instant lock, black screen.

Yet the damn card will run for hours on end @ stock..

Something is holding me back!!!

You know how we do

I would like to push this thing past 700mhz core and 800mhz memory..

Was are the memory chips rated for on the x1800xt? Aren't they like 1.2ns?

833mhz?

These modules are definitely good for 800, so what gives! Back to back cards resulting in similar clocks!

Sorry, been out of the loop for awhile, busy with the kids, and my dad is visiting, and any spare time is actually playing games. If I understand you cannot over clock the memory, but the core will?

I can't overclock the memory at all.. The core will take a slight increase, but next to nothing..

two different versions of AtiTool, the "overclocking" util and multiple voltages and fan settings..

I wonder if we will see a hacked BIOS or something similar!

Are there any BIOS updates or BIOS flashing Tools out?

if they are releasing cards pushing 730-750 CORE, I am sure this card has 700mhz in it!

WTF!

sorry made a boo boo in instructions for X1800 you meant to type in your clocks DO NOT use slider!

1. In service manage in windows disable ATI Smart and ATI Hotkey services and reboot pc. You loose temp reading in CCC but can use ATI Tool to view temps.
2. Use X1800 Oc'ing tool and set 3D desired clocks using the 2D panel by TYPING in the clocks DO NOT use slider!
