I had the same thing happen on my brother's laptop the other day... over at his house, trying to post some stuff on craigslist for him, and ended up spending an hour trying to fix it. No luck with such a short amount of time. Show up at my dad's house today, and I get volunteered to fix sister's laptop with same problem. Reinstalled windows 7 and plan to in the second case. It's not worth my time to try to remove the virus in either case.
