Got two quick questions...

-What would be an ideal CMF total for a T-Bird 1ghz@1.4 in an Antec SX1030?

-What would be the norm for temps? I'm trying to OC as high as possible with a Duron 750 and need to know what temps I can still run at without much danger. So what would you guys say are good temps?

I dont know if there is an ideal CFM rating for case cooling. I would imagine that depends on your case (shape etc..). I think it is more important for correct airflow.

Some fans have a high CFM rating but are noisy as heck. I would recommend finding a fan (such as panaflo) that is just a CFM or two lower in flow but a couple Db less in noise.

From what I have been told air should come in the bottom and go out the top and top back. Check out how I did my setup, that is a good place to start. Check your case temps before fans and after, see what the difference is. You can unplug some fans to test which actually make a difference and which make useless annoying noise.

See if you need fans on the side of your case once you have the basics in place.

I dont know much about the temps on a Duron, my wifes rig runs at 42c un o'cd. Meebe someone with more duron experience can tell you better.

Max, i'd say 40C over ambient case temp(case temp=25C, max read cpu temp no higher than 65C... Ideally in the 20-25C over ambient range).

The Panaflo suggestion seems odd to me since they only push about 14CFM.

Hey AMDPwred, I also have a Duron 750 with an A7V133 in an Antec SX1030 case. Currently its running at 866 (6.5 X 133), at 1.70 volts. The temps are around 38C idle, and 47C at full load. This is with a Volcano II heatsink, a Sunon 23CFM fan, and some Arctic Silver II thermal compound. And here's some advice, get the newest BIOS for the A7V133. Its 1005/FXD, and read this post on AMDMD.com.......

Not all panaflos are 14 cfm. The ones I am talking about are (80mm) model FBA08A12L "Low Noise" 24 cfm and 21 dBA or model FBA08A12H "High Output" 39.6 cfm and 32 dBA, (92mm) model FBA09A12L ("Low Noise&quot 42.7 cfm and 27 dBA or model FBA09A12H ("High Output&quot 56.8 cfm and 35 dBA and (120mm) model FBA12G12L ("Low Noise&quot 68.9 cfm and 30 dBA or model FBA12G12H ("High Output&quot 103 cfm and 41.5 dBA.

I got my fans from either 2COOLTEK or PLYCON.
