Hey guys,
I built my first PC about fourteen months ago, and it's been working well since then -- until recently. Recently, when I reboot or start up the computer, the computer will sometimes not send a signal to my monitor. I get a single POST beep on boot, which supposedly indicates no problems, and because I'm the only user of this computer and I didn't bother passwording it, it loads windows directly and I can hear the Windows logon sound. Nowhere in the process do I get any signs of video signal life.
I've tested with three different DVI monitors, and get the same results. My video card (a GeForce 7950GT by EVGA) only has DVI outputs, and neither one produces a video signal. Has anyone had this sort of problem before, or can anyone suggest further troubleshooting steps?
Some hardware specifics:
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P965-DS3
GPU: EVGA GeForce 7950GT
Monitors: Samsung 206BW, Samsung 2053BW, ViewSonic VS10162
PSU: Enermax Liberty 500W
Thanks for reading!
