Graphic Novels cheap @ Overstock.com

Just a heads up here- If you're like me and have to get their Graphic Novel fix every so often, it appears Overstock.com carries a wide selection, with only $2.95 flat rate shipping. They have the lowest prices on the net (even lower than half.com most of the time, and it's new), and appear to have a very wide selection, including many newly released titles. Same for books in general. This surprised me, usually Alldirect.com is the cheapest, but Overstock is even cheaper- averaging 43% off MSRP.

There's a $10 off $75 coupon at FW, and go through Ebates for 4% off.

Overstock.com search tip- Use Pricegrabber to search for the book you want- and use the "buy" feature there, because Overstock doesn't even list a ISBN for most titles.

Graphic novels are like "Super" comics. Your everyday comic usually contains a short story, or a fraction of a longer story, like a TV show. A Graphic Novel is done on better paper, and contains a complete story, much like an entire movie or novel would. Graphic novels can go anywhere from 40 pages to over 100.

Interesting Factoid:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started out as a comic book, and spawned 4 highly collectible graphic novels a few years before the cartoon, and about 5 years before the movie. The TMNT were created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Kevin Eastman went on to take over the fantasy magazine Heavy Metal, and wrote Heavy Metal 2000 (Fakk 2), which starred an animated potrayal and voiceover of his wife, the queen of "B" movies, Julie Strain (click on gallery for photos), or view my Julie Strain google search. Mmm... Tig ol ... nevermind.

Doesn't have much to do with anything, other Kevin owes what he has to his awesome Graphic Novels.
