Graphics cards for nVidia mobos

As far as anyone knows, are there any compatibility or performance issues with using ATI or Matrox graphics cards on nVidia nForce motherboards?

Conversely, are there any extra features / performance benefits you get by coupling a geForce with an nForce?

i have an nforce2 board and at first i had a nvidia graphics card then i got my hands on a ati card and i didn't have any probems
