GRAW Problem

In the single player version of the GRAW demo, I stick around the 40s and 50s with all settings all the way up, but as soon as I get in multiplayer (Hamachi), it drops down and stays in the high teens to low twenties.

This has really got me confused, especially since it happens no matter which part of the map I'm on, what I'm looking at, or what is going on around me. My FPS are literally halved - even with just two people on. And this occurs regardless of who is hosting the game/Hamachi network.

X-Fi Music

Multiplayer?? Just a LAN game you are talking about? It seems thats the only thing included with the demo... you'd think without the friendly AI taking up CPU cycles it'd be able to handle a single client on a 100mbps connection...!!

Alright game... could use some fixes/changes though. I want to give the demo a few more tries though.

I'm using Hamachi to simulate a LAN over the internet. The problem persists regardless of who hosts the Hamachi server, who hosts the game, and occurs regardless of the number of players (two through four) participating.

I've spoken with several people who play using Hamachi and not a single one has reported similar findings.

Ah, didn't realize there was a XBConnect/Kai Xlink-style program out there for it.

I'll check it out tomorrow probably and see if I have the same problem.

do you have the demo or the retail release? the full game does multiplayer via gamespy from what i've read. i can confirm that tomorrow hopefully if gamestop ever bothers to get the game on the shelf.

Cleared out all non-program and necessary files, defragged, and it's fixed. Surprising to me, but it worked. Literally doubled my performance.

Well the problem seems to have resurfaced in a very mysterious manner. The first time I run GRAW on a fresh reboot, it works great with great FPS. If I close it and open it again, run teamspeak in the background, or anything similar, my FPS are literally cut in half. This is really getting to be bizarre.

I've reinstalled Catalyst drivers, increased page file to 4GB from 2GB, and am generally confused. Any assistance would be appreciated!
