Never heard of Fergburger, but Shakeshack doesn't serve real burgers. I'd put them on par with White Castle.

Outback Steakhouse Mad Max burger. Good lord that was one awesome burger. 1/2 lb sirloin patty grilled to perfection, cheese, 3 slices of pepperjack bacon, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle and spicy sauce.

It was like a burger orgasm.

That place is WIN, for anyone who hasn't been there their burgers are weighed after cooking. So the 1lb is like 18 or 20oz's and will be a full 16oz's when you get it. I've eaten tons of 1lb burgers elsewhere, and they cook down quite a bit in size (still big) Cheeburger-Cheeburgers is HUGE. Fries were good and the drink selection is freakin mind blowing. I wish there was one close to me. I think the only one in Cali is in SD, anyone around SD it's off the 15 on Carmel Mountain. Place is crazy good.

April, 19, 1980... at a Dairy Queen. The burger wasn't cooked to death, it still had the smell of freshly coming off the grill... and how sweet it smelled - and oh, the taste to this day still lingers in my mind...

They are actually more generous than that even.

The pounder burger is 20 oz after cooking, which means it is probably over 1.5lb before cooking.
This would be why the menu says the most popular size is the "Semi-Serious" 3 levels down from there. The "serious" "1/2 pound" burger is 10oz after cooking, and is about the size of "1lb" burgers from other places.

Personally I like their burgers best as whole wheat wraps (yes, you can get a wrap with 20oz of meat!!), with feta, chopped garlic, red hot sauce, chipotle sauce, onion rings, & bacon.

Really? they need to update the web site because I remember it saying 20 oz* (before cooking) if you're right I ate a full 20oz burger! hummm, it wasn't just big though, it tasted very good too.

You're right, the online menu does say before cooking, but they are definitely bigger than other places that claim the same # of ounces.

There are other things they need to update on the online menu as well. It is missing a lot of the topping choices & shake flavors. They are there on the printed takeout menus and they will deliver them when you call, but the online order form doesn't have a lot of the things on it to select.

i can grill a damn fine burger, but from somewhere else...theres a little old drive-in called bobo's in topeka, ks, that i went to with a lady friend. the cheeseburger practically melted in my mouth. it was amazingly good. the fries were meh, but the onion rings were also great (probably out of a bag but...whatever, they were good)

Yeah, I can cook a mean burger too when I feel creative. Monterey Jack Cheese, Jack Daniels BBQ sauce, and some homemade pepper sauce mixed in before it hits the grill. Of course Worchester sauce and salt/pepper.
