The Counter, Fathers Office? you mean that place where you can't even tell them how you want the burger? a 2/3rd pounder (weight after cooking) with Garlic Aoeli sauce from The Counter kills the rest. Hell Apple Pan is better than Fathers Office and they're not even on my top 5. Both are good, but both are vastly overrated, Counter has awesome burgers and more topping choices than probably every other burger place in LA combined. They also have better buns, and it's not going to cost you $30 bucks to get a burger, fries and 2 drinks like at F.O's. It's a land slide. If a burger better than The Counters exists, I will drive to another state to get it, because in California such a place does not exist.

There is nothing elitist about taking beef and throwing it on your grill for probably the best burger that can be had.
Elitist is saying the only good burger is dry aged beef from the woo-tang clan and only from the left side of the round because the only walk to the left topped with cheese from the remaining dutch amish in wisconsin with french decendants that has been aged and started with the only remaining mother culture dated at over 1500 years old all on bread made by italian immigrants in a wood fire oven topped of course by only organic vegtables.
THAT's elitist. Buying ground beef and cooking it on your grill is not.

We don't take your other posts seriously, why would we take your food opinion seriously?

Mine. If your own burgers can't blow away anything from a restaurant you need cooking lessons.
Pretty much. Why do burger places try to say "It's just as good as what you make at home!"
No, it's not and it never will be.
80/20 beef, 1/2 pound patties, 4 minutes per side (perfect medium), add cheese, done.

Dude, 5 Guys fries are the best thing about that place. Cooked in peanut oil, and overflowing into the bag so that the grease seeps through and you can almost see through the bag...mmmmmmm, bag fries.

I'm not even convinced that dry aged beef is anything more than a waste of otherwise good meat when put into a burger. It's mostly a gimmick. It's just going to be topped with overpowering flavors. Dry aged beef is for when you want to eat beef and taste it.
Don't even get me started on putting kobe/wagyu beef into a burger.
I do hand it to the restaurants that manage to sell these kinds of burgers, though. They manage to sell scraps/trimmings that would otherwise go into the bin, all at a markup. Good way to get rid of leftovers.

Because The Counter has a far superior burger. F.O is very popular and most of the people I know rave about it. That's a bad sign right there, because most people I know rave about PF Changs. There's nothing wrong with PF's but like FO it doesn't deserve the retard praise it gets. The Counter also has way better fries.

I don't get the 5 Guys hype. They must be doing something right because there is always a line out the door, but IMO their food is mediocre and greasy and badly overpriced.
