I've been living perfectly well with my PC dual booting WindowsXP Pro and Red Hat Linux. The Red Hat boot loader would come up with every boot asking whether I wanted DOS (in this case WinXP) or Linux. I haven't been using Linux at all, so I decided to format the 15GB hard drive that it was on (a separate hard drive from Windows). I thought I should probably ask at AnandTech or search the web for the proceedure for uninstalling the boot loader first. Somewhere in there, though, I ended up asking myself "Why haven't you reformatted that hard drive yet?" and I got the answer "I don't know" instead of "because of the boot loader."
So, I formatted the hard drive, and now my computer just boots to a grub> prompt. What can I do to get rid of this?
Thanks!
