So I've played through the point where Trevor becomes a playable character and I must say I've loved every moment. All of the main characters are enjoyable, but Michael is by far my favorite. He has that "f'ed up rich guy/uncontrollable rage" feel to him, which I find utterly believable.
So far I only have a couple beefs with the game.
1. I think the in car shooting mechanics/controls are horrible. Is it possible to aim a gun without shooting while in a car?
2. The player character car damage modeling is a bit too forgiving IMO. I've hit god knows how many objects and have never blow up my own car. I've jettisoned the driver a number of times and flipped, but my car always seems driveable. That is probably an intentional design decision, as it would be a PITA to find a new vehicle in some of the in game locations.
3. The assisted aiming seems kind of glitchy, particularly when multiple targets are available. Anyone else notice that it tends to favor aircraft (helicopters) instead of people on the ground?
4. I'm still early in some of the missions so maybe this will rectify itself, but I find it incredibly annoying that some of the mission companions will repeatedly prompt you to do something. E.g., as Trevor I was tasked with sniping some folks while my companion went to do his task associated with the mission. Like an idiot I moved Trevor and he fell from his perch. As I maneuvered him back into position, I had to suffer through my companion saying the same damn thing over and over (He's gonna kill me Trevor!) every 5 seconds for about a minute. By the time I was back in position I actually wished the game followed through and killed the guy!
