So, I've been playing a good bit (I am about 33% complete) and I am particularly annoyed with one of the characters:

Trevor! He is rude, abrasive, and I had to see his cock and balls. His friends are morons and one is even a Juggalo. His story also, so far, is rather unbelievable for his personality.

His crew is betrayed on a heist and he thinks Michael is dead. He finds out Michael isn't dead through another heist, after being on the run for 10 years and storms off to Los Santos to find him. Upon arrival, he is all buddy buddy and then finds out Michael is working with the FIB, yet doesn't get the idea that Michael maybe had something to do with it. Why would this guy, who is completely crazy, be all buddy buddy with Michael and Franklin? I just don't get it.

It does work...if you park a car there and come back 5 hours later it is still there in the same condition you left it in. If you take that car and drive around and wreck it, leave it somewhere, get arrested, or get wasted it does not appear in the garage. You need to go to the police impound and pay the $250 fee to get it back. I don't know what is so hard about this concept. If you leave your car, it can't drive itself back home.

This is much more realistic and believable than it just reappearing at the garage every time.

The best thing to do is use the quick save option as often as you can(like before a mission or race). Then you can reload if you wreck or something.

3) Park car in garage.
4) leave garage
5) Save
6) quit game
7) go back into game
8) Garage empty


I can not get a car to stay in Franklin's garage. It works fine in Micheal's garage. I am not talking about the garages you press the right arrow to get into either. Those are working normally.

Some missions deal with things that connect with the stock market. Say, you're going to assassinate the head of a large company, their stock is going to fall, and their competitors' stock with rise. I just made that up as an example, but you get the point.

There are threads on other forums filled w/ peoples cars glitching - leaving in garages or even the pay garages and car disappearing after saving/coming back. Not in impound, not left anywhere- but gone from garages. I've had it happen a couple times so far.

I have yet to experience that, but I don't remove my car much from my garage. I just steal one on my way where ever I'm headed. Or, I call a cab. It is cheap and faster than those painfully long drives.

That's why gamestop asks if you want warranty or scratch protection now when you buy games.

With how well it is selling, I doubt it will get a price drop until after Christmas.

Only deal I see currently is if you buy it at Toy's R Us on Sunday you get a $15 gift card there. Pretty decent deal though.

I like him as a character, but everything around him annoys me (friends, story, etc). There is a mission where he accompanies Franklin (who I always want to call CJ) and Lamar on a drug buy, and it is amazing. That dynamic is perfect: he is crazy, whitetrash, and doesn't give a f*ck; Franklin is the seemingly most intelligent tries to act as the voice of reason; Lamar is the typical bravado filled gangsta always running his mouth. Trevor, so far, has the best lines *gives Franklin's aunt some money* "Here you go babe, go get yourself something nice" "This is $7" "I said nice not expensive!"

Game is broke as hell. I am now repeating the jurors assassination mission for the 4th time because apparently my 4th target is super man, and not only is it not possible to kill him no matter how hard I (or other cars) hit him and run over him, he gets up and runs away at mach 4. I can't say this game has been frustration free, its nice yet sad that none of the issues have been bug related and all have been design related.

The helicopter training is also BS. Helis in GTA4 we all know sucked balls.. and they still suck balls in gta 5, its just that now they want you to suck balls while flying 400mph through a city just to make bronze. had a great time with the plane, but looks like I'm not finishing this crap.

Oh yea, and which genius at rockstar thought it was OK that the iOS version of the manual be finished by release and NO ONE ELSES! No pc manual, no android manual. They singled out the smallest demographic for release day! So for most of the known world, you can not has GTA5 manual. If there is a third assassination mission, I hope it is for this guy.

Yes, some missions specifically state that the purpose is to manipulate the stock market.

After the first heist with Michael and Franklin, Lester employs Franklin to assassinate people. If you listen to what Lester says in the cut scenes, he pretty much tells Franklin how to invest. If you start the mission, you'll only be able to invest with Franklin, but if you quick-save before the cut scene and figure out which company to invest in you can load just before the mission and invest with all three characters. Michael, after having taken a majority share after the first heist had a $600k return on his investment of $800k for me.

I slept 4 times before selling my shares, it seemed to stabilize after that.

Weird.. it wasn't coming up in google at all.. only the 2 iOS apps.

yea I finally stopped trying to run him over (you can forget shooting him from the car) and quickly ran out and unloaded a clip into him just to be sure. You have to be quick to switch away from the sniper rifle, that's how I missed my chance on the first try. That was another thing that annoyed me.. after a butt full of buck shot he was still uncatchable.

Took a nice drive around the island and picked up 2 chicks for my crew.. so sad they removed dating from the game. -_-

There is...when looking at the map i believe press R2 on ps3 and I think RT on 360. It may be L2 but one zooms in and one zooms out. It tells you this on the bottom of the screen under the map when you pause the game.

I really wanted the Special Edition, but I waited too long to preorder and it was sold out everywhere online. I was bummed and almost bought the regular edition, but I was in Target yesterday and they still had a Special Edition on the shelf.

Loving it so far. It's a huge improvement over GTA4 which for me was a low point in the series.

So, I realize if I were to ever steal a helicopter in real life, I'd probably die. I am awful at flying them (even with maxed out flying because I went to flight school).

cmdrdredd, I had both the EH8 and the Assault SMG for free as well. Did you happen to get gold on the shooting range? I got all gold on the SMG portion, and imagine it could be from that.

Some mission I was on gave me like 8000 bullets for the SMG, so it is nice to have a fully upgraded one.

It could be from that. I haven't found a guide that tells you the rewards for the shooting challenges. I did get golds in the pistol and a couple SMG challenges.
