I have had 45minute shootouts with cops while having 5 stars and the death was all me. I tried to grab a car but it didn't stop for me and ran me over lol.

The key is the choppers, or as franklin's buddies call it "the all seeing eye". Gotta take them out. You can just shoot the pilot if you get the right angle.

my favorite bs moment so far is the cops going over steep hills just as fast as me when im in a buggy lol

So, I hate flying the choppers. They are awful. I spent around 45 minutes on a mission that required me to hover over a hole in the ground. I just couldn't get it to stop in position. So frustrating! Even with maxed flying the helicopters are pretty much awful.

I also restarted after beating the main story because I wanted to save some missions until I had a lot of money to invest. (

You get like 25 million each in the last heist! Much better to save the assassination missions until then for big returns!!

) It turns out you have to pay money to dead crew on heists. I picked the not great gunman, he died, I picked up his loot, and I still had to shell out like $211k to that scrub's family I guess.

I actually like that the police don't immediately give up on a simple chase. In the real world, hiding for 10 seconds doesn't mean the police completely forget about you. And once you're out of their line of sight, you can swap cars and lose the police in a heartbeat since they're looking for a car you're no longer in. That's a nice touch.

Oh I've been running from them and evading them in one car only. Did not know about swapping. The first time I had two stars I went and hid by the trailers in the railroad area.

It only works if they don't see you switch cars. If they watch you do it, obviously, they will know. =)

I've found the easiest way to lose cops is to go off road and then swap cars (if you can; some missions won't let you obviously).

I still cannot shake a 4 star without escaping in a helicopter but I think a motorbike plus the aqueduct tunnels are probably the way to go.

It takes me awhile, but I've escaped a few times. Losing the cops for that brief moment and switching cars is the way to go though.

Funny, the only time that worked for me is when I killed some cops and took their cop car. I just thought that cops wouldn't chase cop cars. Ooops.

There is a mission where you help out amanda, his wife, and she is in a cop car that's parked. You have to get in and take her home. Of course they still chase you but I think if you turn on sirens they get a bit confused. I had to drive all the way to the race track and sit in a parking lot, hoping that they didn't come up there.

When I did that one, I accidently ran over the cop, sliding in to stop near them. She jumped in my car and away we went!

I wish I could kill her though, I hate her. She cheats on Michael damn near in front of him and is rather ungrateful considering she has pretty much everything she wants and used to be a stripper. I'd have shot her after the tennis coach incident. I'd have shot the kids as well.

Yeah, the background conversations from other characters (Jimmy when Franklin is driving him home and the story Trevor tells Wade while driving to LS) suggest Michael didn't exactly marry the most wholesome woman. He happened to knock her up and married her after that.

How do you do the bounty hunter missions. This guy is near a quary, apparently you are suppose to roam into the desert?

That was a pain in the ass to find. If you pull up the map and go to sandy shores look to the south east and it's called Davis quartz. That's where the guy is for that mission. I stole a plan and flew it all over the map so nothing is grayed out anymore.

I'm at 24 hours play time and 51% compete right now. Took my time on missions because I don't want to get burned out on the game before the multiplayer comes out

I really like how they got the cops in this game you can really get into some criminal behavior and then hide like a real crook, in an alleyway or whatever or on a building where the cops cant see.

Do the first Trevor mission after you take over the biker gang and you have access to the planes. Damn flying the planes is tough. I missed some of the instructions because I was being chased and shot by bikers. Finally found the first bounty. The second one is rougher but you get an aerial view of the part of the land he is suppose to be in.

I haven't tried the helicopter yet, my luck I would end up crashing it somewhere in the desert and then have to walk back to the town. I'm going to give the helicopter a try tonite. The bounty missions should at least give you better location detail. Although I have a feeling from the details in the email that the second guy is on that farm to the south west.

I have max flying skill and the flying still sucks. In a way I understand what rockstar was trying to do but it makes flying almost useless and not very fun at all.

You can fly any of the jets at the airport, even the 747. You just don't see the animation of getting in when you enter them. I have a fighter jet parked in my hanger now. One thing that bothers me about the jets is they don't seem that fast.

Yeah I didn't know how to retract the landing gear and all that. I also play digital combat simulator A10c and that is an advanced flight sim which the flying is much more accurate but I wasn't expecting to actually have rudder and landing gear control in gta 5. Also, looks like you don't need to hold the accelerate button in planes unless you want to go higher at the same time.
