Just my thoughts but at $650 that is just to high of a price price imo, but when I look at the performance vs the Titan it makes me think should I, I could ebay my 7950 now for around $250.00. But then I read RS's post and they just make too much sense to me imo and I should just run my $269 7950 (oc) till next gen later this year and or early next. The GTX is a nice card and I can see buying it comparing it to the performance of a Titan of course and then there is the upgrade/ fun factor, oc'g etc that is also there when looking at this card but I am just going to resist temptation. To those who bought it congrats and enjoy it.

Anybody waiting for the eVGA GTW 780? It has a 3 slot cooler, I'm wondering how much it will help.

Since this is about the whole lineup, any new information on the models below the 780 and their pricing? I wanna see how the cards that are supposed to compete with AMDs offerings line up. The Below 400 range is where my money is being spent, and I want to give nvidia a chance to respond to AMDs cards before I spend as at each price point I'm thinking of purchasing, AMD wins in price to performance.

GTX 770 should be out soon. Might be worth waiting.

GTS 780 is a nice looking card but a little bit on the pricey side of the spectrum. Guess it can be expected with todays current lineup from both AMD and Nvidia.

Comparing the GTX 780 to the Titan with performance vs price the GTX 780 does seem like a good deal....Once one gets over the initial sticker shock of course.

When though?

XFX Double D Black Edition 7970 is 360 after rebates. That's a great deal (if it's not please tell me). I'm thinking of just taking the plunge and getting it. My brother and I have been playing a lot of games together, about to beat dark souls, and probably will jump into BioShock right after (just, I'm behind on gaming).

GTX 700 series was what I was waiting for, and I was willing to spend 400-500 dollars, but now that I see the performance advantage, I really just don't see why I wouldn't spend under 400 for 90% of the performance. GTX 780, is out of my price range so scrap that. GTX 680 was the card I was planning on getting until the new drivers came out for the 7970 to even the playing field (I like nvidia as well so 20-30 dollar difference wasn't a problem). Now AMD just blows them out of the water when offering 7970s under 400 dollars. I'd be crazy not to get one now but I want to make sure the GTX 770 doesn't undercut, or sell for 400 and offer enough performance bonus for me to just stay Nvidia(not an Nvidia fanboy but the little things Nvidia does makes me want to continue me giving them my money).

Tomshardware.com's review of the GTX 780 at the end says "Wait a week!" or something to that effect so I'm hoping another review is coming out by then on a GTX 770?

Edit: Also card was as quite as the GTX 680, so that was quite cool but I'm hoping the GTX 770 is quieter. I want it to go in my Home Theater room. Last thing I need is fans blaring during quiet scenes of a movie.

BLT already has it listed http://www.shopblt.com/search/order_id=%21ORDERID%21&s_max=25&t_all=1&s_all=gtx+770

$513.23

Sorry folks, this card is going to be in the range of $450-500 for a 2gb card.

How is this possible. I mean won't the gtx 680 offer the same performance for less? I can't see it offering significantly more without getting close to the gtx 780.
Oh well, is the card I posted any good? Almost seems all but given that I won't be going green anytime soon.

you dont think it would be worth waiting a couple more days?

No matter if you go for the gtx770 or not, the potential for cards to drop in price is there. Slight possibility or not. As the landscape changes, turmoil follows. like.....
the flood of used cards coming on the market now that the 700 series is among us. There should be some great deals on barely used 680s, 7970s, and 670s.

There's also the 7950 which is already an amazing value.

Perhaps there is some space between same performance and significantly more?

Honestly, i think this has been one of the more civil threads when you take in account its subject matter: a new launching card.

Its generally hard for everyone to get along with our extreme polarized views but this shows that we dont have to be so vicious. i am glad to see its not the usual blood bath.

I think I remember the launch price of a GTX280 being 649.00. Amiright?
A bit blurry without the benefit of a google search.

I thought we were done reading all these baseless conclusions for awhile since the 780 was released. I read countless of silly posts this last week linking to 780's listed at $800+ with accompanying posts saying; Welp! The 780 is now absolutely definitively a $750+ card, HA that's it folks!!! CONFIRMED! 100% absolute!

How about we wait for real evidence of the cards price before we start making baseless claims of a confirmed price point?

:Edit: That said, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was within that range.

There have been a few comments like this, this is the sick mentality that Nvidia was hoping for when releasing the Titan at the ridiculous $1,000 price point. No, the 780 is not a good deal because you compare it to a stupidly overpriced niche product.

The 680 came out $50 cheaper than the AMD equivalent card offering a good value for top tier cards for the generation. Nvidia is now coming out a full $150 more than the 680. That's some nasty price creep there and trying to use the Titan as a measuring stick for 780 pricing is just sick.

This generation of 7xx cards is already absurd, though it makes my purchase of a 680 on day one look great.

(I might even buy into a conspiracy that not many Titans are actually out there but the point wasn't to sell Titans, it was to push the price point to a ridiculous ceiling and then come in with the 780 offering close performance and getting $150 more than they could with the 680. The Titan's real goal was to sell more expensive 780s than to actually sell Titans.)

Maybe 650$ will be short lived like it was on the GTX 280. How long did that last? A week? Although, I still bought a 780 anyway. Shrug. It is possible that we're all paying an early adopters fee, who knows. That's precisely what happened with the GTX 280 when the early buyers were basically screwed by a 150$ price drop 1-1.5 weeks later. It's just the nature of the game when it comes to being an early adopter, I suppose.

Yeah, I think I'm about to skip this generation of Vid cards. Seeing my best upgrade path, if any, would be a new platform (mb, cpu, ram)

It took every once of strength in my body to not buy the GTX 780 lol.

I finally talked myself out of it because I don't want to drain my loop and buy a block etc. That GTX 780 ACX card is so tempting though even besting the Titan in a lot of games.
