Since I guess we need to throw the gender out there, there ya go

So I just got everything put together, and instead of having people read my entire other thread, I'd just post everything here.. I dont plan on gaming a whole bunch, but would still like it to be a solid computer for the next 4-5 years. Tried to get everything I wanted to about $900 or so, and I think Im close to that with current sales and bundles.. I would only need a 3470 CPU but with the bundle packages on the 3570K/MOBO its kind of a wash as it would be about the same price.. The only thing I am still debating on is the MOBO, as I thought I had a easy choice in the ASRock, I turned away from it due to the Current BIOS and sleep issues I have heard with Win8. SO If there is a better one in THIS bundle, or one that usually goes on sale at newegg , please let me know.. I tried mfenn's build HERE, with the most current cpu/mobo bundle but it is no longer available

So anything you guys think could be swapped out or changed, please let me know.. The 3 things I'm still considering changing are possibly the RAM, the PSU, and the mobo.. the ASRock is still in the build, just for the fact of me not knowing what exactly what to put in there

no plans on overclocking.. Sorry , forgot to mention that.. Only reason Im going with the 3750k and Z77 mobo, is because of the bundle deal, which is actually less $$ or about equal to a H77/3470 combo..

If I did go with a aftermarket cooler it would either be the CM 212 EVO or the Dark knight 2

Any suggestions on the MOBO? Something comparable to OR a little less than the ASRock Extreme 4?

i have mix'd views on ASRock.

Its like Toyota vs Lexus... Lexus being ASUS.
However both made by FOXCONN.
Never made sense on why ASUS did that.

I personally prefer gigabytes (ud3+) boards over ASRock any day of the week.
I prefer ASUS boards over some Giggy boards, until u get into the (UD5+) catigory, where i'll take a giggy UD7 any day of the week over an ASUS Rampage even.

But i cant really tell you much about ASRock other then im very impartial.

Notes:
When i say UD5 i mean look at the last numbers on the model number.
Example:
gigabyte z77x-UD3h would be a UD3 in my example.

Great, thanks! Ill take a look at the Boards again, and hopefully will end the build .. hopefully

Last question.. What do these letters mean UD3H, DS3H, D3H etc.. I dont know what it means , which might help me out a bit when actually choosing a board

Examples of the 3 I am looking at

It's just a rough representation of the number of features and supposedly the durability as well. I'm doubtful of the latter, but at least the placebo effect might do something for your own peace of mind (since I can't prove it either way).

What are you talking about? Asus motherboards are manufactured by Asustek's manufacturing subsidiary Pegatron.

Pegatron, Asustek

Pegasus

The sort of reverse portmanteau that only a non-native English speaker could inflict on our language.

IME: Gigabyte > Asrock > Asus >>>>>>>>>xover9000> Foxconn

I don't think this was ever answered in your other thread, so I will ask again here. Are you physically near a MicroCenter? Those bundles only apply to in-store purchases.

The nearest one is Minneapolis/St Paul area, about 2.5 hrs away from me... So for me just to make the trip it would be about $50-$60 in gas.. Plus lunch... Plus shopping w the woman

That pretty much kills your discount right there, so I would not bother with MC.
