I've never been to the gym so I dont know what to do there I know lift weights, use the treadmill...
But when I pick up 25lbs dumbells and the 15 year old next to me lifting 50lbs with his friends .
I feel like people stare at me or if they are wispering its about me
I guess I have some underlying issues.
Dude, I felt the exact same way, except I was very skinny and had very little muscle mass. It's very intimidating to go there; but one day, I just got up the courage to go. Once I was there I realized nobody cares what you lift, nor will you care what they lift. After a few times you learn to focus so much on your exercises, it doesn't matter what is going on around you. You also realize everyone is there to get healthier, fitter, stronger so there is a certain respect between gym-goers for just being there. I didn't have a buddy, didn't need one.

Discuss Fitness and do a little background research. Remember, proper technique is the key, not overwhelming weight loads you can only half do, or do poorly.
As for the hypoglycemia issue, try eating a high protein, high complex carb, low sugar meal (like a small breakfast burrito, small hamburger, etc.) + lots of water about an hour before you work out (actually, all the time is a good diet plan), and a high protein content (30+ grams) shake after you workout. That should help out alot, it did for me. The exercise also helps level out your blood-sugar.
It takes a little motivation at first (I suggest to just get up and do it when you get the idea, don't sit around and think about it), but after a while it becomes routine and you start to enjoy it. You definitely enjoy the results. They come slowly, but they definitely come. In 6 months I've basically doubled my bench, 50% increase squats, and I can now do pullups.
You know why you need to go, you just have to do it.
