Ordered one of these came in feb temps roughly the same (was using a thermalright archon).pump has failed.i ordered one of these out of curiosity(didnt like a huge hunk of metal hanging off my motherboard).overclock uk has said i should dispose of the item*laughs*.i have the fans,they were junk too.(they are in the bin too).any happy stories with this?

Just to add to this both fans were garbage.

Mine is a first run and has zero issues. Swiftech has guys posting on Overclock.net and they have been extremely helpful with issues people have had.

i assume the AIO one.. none DDC version.

Have u tried emailing gabe and michelle over at swiftech?
They are really good at helping when something fails and its a RMA issue.

Aye,its the AIO Swiftech H220 Compact Drive II.i asked overclock uk for a refund rather than a repair or replacement as i hve no confidence in the item.they have refunded me in full.

There have been more reports of failed pumps than I liked with this, but I haven't had any problems with mine (bought in June). I think there might have been an issue previously that led to higher-than-expected pump failures, but based on forum reports (obviously a pretty imperfect measurement) it seems to have been largely addressed.

What didn't you like about the fans? They're basically PWM-but-lower-quality Gentle Typhoons, but they're still much nicer than the fans you'd get on any other AIO liquid cooling system (looking at you, Corsair). I already had GTs when I bought the H220 and switched out the fans, but I'm using the Swiftech fans as front intakes with no complaints.

From what I understand certain motherboards use cheap pwm headers and using any AIO with those motherboards typically caused the pumps to fail quickly.

Unfortunately the H220 has been pulled off the market due to pending patent litigation. Apparently, Astek has patents that allows them to be the only AIO maker(the make all the remaining AIOs, ie: Corsair, Antec, Thermaltake, Silverstone, etc). You may have had problems but the H220 was the best AIO on the market, most of the astek built aio are junk.

I'm pretty sure pumps should be running at full all the time instead of being pwm controlled. That's what I've been hearing.

Thats only for the US,they are still selling them in other countries.@Skycake both fans had a weird almost vibrating humming noise,this was at any speed horizontal or vertical and was annoyingly audible.i might of had a bad batch i dont know as lots of peeps do seem to like these fans.

Its only in the US but they have always been pretty scarce outside the US. Maybe they will ship the models in the US to overseas markets. It looks like to buy one and import it its going to cost close to $200.

You probably just got a bad unit. Some of the euro sites have a "B product" model that's cheaper. So there could have been a QC issue.
