Half Life startup errors

Well, ive installed half-life again on my comp and after its installed, it says that hl.exe has generated errors and a error log is being created. I am running w2k pro and need my cs binge fast... plz HELP!

Hmm, that's odd. There seems to be something wrong with your OS, do you have SP2? BTW where does Win2K put the error log???

its a clean install of hl... and the error log doesnt say anything noticeable
