I can't reveal what I'm going to be yet, I'm sure to win the grand prize at all 4 parties I'll be going to. I've won the past 3 years in a row, each year I've been something different and original. I'll post pics before I go out on the 31st.

A helpful hint: watch TV for ideas. Something recent an in the news/on tv shows always works great. I always pick up my ideas from Jay Leno's jokes.

I'm sure a few people will be going as Mark Foley, Steve Irwin, etc.

My idea is close to being completed. It's the most extravagent so far...I won the last 3 years at a total of 8 contests...this year will be the best costume yet.

Man, my ideas are good. I'm considering making 5 more of these costumes and selling them on ebay.

I am planning to go as Gambit... having a hard time finding a good brown trench coat for the costume, but found the red contacts and just have to figure out how I will do the rest of the costume (purple/black shirt and pants, etc.) and I need to get a Bo Staff, or make one.

I took a construction-type hard hat, put it atop a small construction cone on top of a box. I then sprayed a full can of expanding foam, starting wide around the bottom, around and around, to make a conical poop-type shape. Then painted a dull brown and mounted some of those big plastic "texas flies" on it. Cut the bottom so it fit right against my shoulders, used paddle bits for eye holes, paint touch up - voila. The hard hat was a stroke of genius, it supported the wight like a champ - adjusted to fit tightly, yet still allowed room so we didn't burn up. I had pics somewhere, but in three moves, a marriage and two kids, they're gone
