Halo 3 ad from tonight

Awesome. When I get my 360 for Christmas I am going to buy Halo 1 and 2 just so I can get into the story for Halo 3.

Does anyone know when the Halo movie is coming out?

Halo movie is on indefinite hold.

Also check out the novel The Fall of Reach to get more into the backstory of Master Chief. I bought it on a whim but it really added alot to the game story.

I have to apologize to the first few posters in this thread, but that trailer looks absolutely pimp. With the couple of trailers that we've seen now, there seems to be a lot of open area.

It looks cool. I liked GOW, and I assume I will like this. I still have to pick up Halo 2 (just bought a 360)...... Now only if it had Mouse + KB Support..

The Gears of War trailer made tons of people want to buy an Xbox 360.
This Halo 3 trailer makes Halo fans who already have a 360 cream their pants for Halo 3 next year; not necessarily newcomers.

edit: hahaha.. so this video is proof that chief can run fast, but in the game he is slow as balls (that kills me, even CSS is faster than halo/halo2 in multiplayer)

good trailer, although i think *slightly* longer would have made for a better video. nice effects and all:thumbsup:

and halo didn't have much of a story (of course, what fps DOES have a story? its always an excuse to blow $hit up - not that i mind )

Even though Halo is nothing new and there are many games that have better graphics, the reason it is successful is because of the theme: One man against many enemies. The insurmountable odds of Master Chief fighting the Covenant (especially on Legendary) makes the game really appealing. I am by NO MEANS A FANBOY, but I have to give credit to Bungie for making a good product.

I hope they improve the level designs. The environemnts felt too sterile in the first two HALOs

Yep. Didn't have the same effect as the GoW "Mad World" commercial but it was still pretty sweet.

Halo is one of the best games ever made. I have spent hours and hours playing that game. The fun never ends.

Unless you like playing with dolls then it just might not appeal to you.
