Here is the problem. I have a 60GB Maxtor HD, I use it as a storage drive. About a week ago it started locking up my computer every time I tried to access something on it. I tried zeroing out the Hard Drive with a Low Level Format and then reformating it. Now it says it only has 32GB, NOT 60!! I ran the powermax software, went through all the tests, but it says nothing is wrong with it. I go to Maxtors Website to get an RMA number, it IS under warranty, it says I need a error code to get an RMA Number and to use Powermax to get it. HOW am I supposed to get an error code when Powermax says THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT?!?!?
Does anyone have any ideas why this HD got cut it's storage cut in half? It's not making any noises of any kind, it just won't let me get the full 60GB. Any help would be appreciated.
