Hardest Game of All Time

I can still remember never beating Legacy of the Wizard for nes. That game was crazy hard.

No I think Fester's Quest on NES is one of the hardest games ever. So easy to die in the main boss buildings and NO continues and very little health pickups in the game.

Blaster Master was also a challenge.

In terms of puzzle-solving, Ultima 7, Part II: Serpent Isle.

In terms of twitch-ability, Operation Flashpoint on highest difficulty or Hitman 1.

Damn, I remember playing that game back in the day... and sucking at it. I wonder if I could beat it now...

I know...it's kinda funny to go back and play games now after not playing them forever. I beat Mike Tyson's Punch Out the other day in a couple of tries, and I could never beat that when I was younger

Yeah...Battletoads was hard too. especially the stages where you had to do the swoop bikes. jumping gaps and dodging things.

I remember Battletoads and Ninja Gaiden series kicking my arse. They don't make games really difficult anymore (Well, maybe with exception of XBox Ninja Gaiden).

Landing on the aircraft carrier.

Ninja Gaiden was pretty brutal on the final boss. Every time you died, you would have to replay through about 10 minutes of the game just to get to him again.

UN Squadron for SNES was tough as donkey balls. You had to do every mission perfectly to get enough cash for the plane and weapons for it. I'm not sure if I ever actually beat it.

Project X by the wondeous Team 17 on the Amiga.

Such a great side scrolling shooter. Made R-Type look useless but it was impossible to play

I beat it with the game genie and was awed by the ridiculousness. You need to kill like 200 guys that are as tough or tougher than you with 3 lives.

One game I remember that I couldn't finish was "Kid Chameleon" for Genesis.
