Has anybody bad experience with zipzoomfly? Something just doesn't seem right. They have a LOT of products with prices much lower ($20-$40) than other online retailers. Are they selling older hardware without the latest upgrades or service packs? What can be the explanation? Any idea?

zipzoomfly is the new googlegear.com, they are right up there with newegg on service and support. They often have the lowest CPU prices on the net.

Never had a problem with them as googlegear or zipzoomfly! Great online retailer, my second choice after Newegg.

Just looked over their CPU prices on the XPs and P4s vs. NewEgg and I'm not impressed at all w/ ZipZoomFly. Maybe this particular time is not reflective of their normal pricing habits, but about the only time it looks like I'll be ordering a CPU from them is if I can't get it from NewEgg.

Newegg is higher on some items compared to other e-tailers. It not always about price......

But between those two places, I don't think the service different is really that big, I have RMA'ed stuff back to googlegear without issues on many occassions, same thing with Newegg, both processes are nice and easy! I would say which ever one is cheaper, go with it!

Zipzoomfly is my first choice. They are usually cheaper (on full system builds & shipping) than newegg.

I used Googlegear equally with NewEgg for the last 2 years - both are extremely reliable. I just got an order from ZipZoomFly (Googlegear's new name because of the "Google" conflict.) They sometimes have things that NewEgg either does not have or is out of stock. I see them as equally good.

Best site I have bought hardware from. I just got my new Intel board and CPU and Plextor burner from them. They ship very quickly.

I normally order all of my stuff from zipzoomfly and newegg.. I check zipzoomfly first, but if newegg has it cheaper (usually they don't) i'll go with newegg.. I prefer zipzoomfly though because my order usually always gets here a day quicker than with newegg.

Another happy ZipZoomFly/Googlegear customer, I shop from them and Newegg almost exclusively for all my hardware needs.

Echoing what pretty much everyone else has said, I order from both Zipzoomfly and Newegg, which depends on the price.

And the great thing about ZZF is free 2nd fedex shipping on a lot of items!

Zipzoomfly is awesome. A bud got an NF7-S for $101 (when they used to be $115), and it came via free 2 day shipping. Excellent service, excellent board!

Also happy with the retailer formerly known as GoogleGear. I use about 4 or 5 places but usually end up with NewEgg or ZipZoomFly. I'll divulge my other choices and you can peek there too if you so choose.

www.mwave.com
www.essencompu.com
www.directron.com

Mwave I've ordered from since my first Athlon and Kt-7. Essential computers is in NY so shipping is usually good for me. Directron usually can't compare in prices but I bought a Fong-Kai case from them years ago among other things and they have always taken care of me.

Since it was brought up, what was the deal with them changing their name? I mean first off, google has a lot of balls to make a move like that. Secondly, where did they come up with the replacement name? Haha, just seems funny but I'm glad they kept the bean dude. Enough babble for now.

I've bought from both GoogleGear (now ZZF) and NewEgg. Shipping was just about the same time.

I just buy whichever has the better price.

NewEgg's product selection and search feature just seem better though.

ZZF\GG sometimes normally has a slightly lower price.

I've bought from googlegear before (now zipzoomfly), but not as their new name. Good shipping + service. I was sent a bad CPU and RMA'd and had the new one before the next week, because I had to ship mine back first.

Another vote for newegg/zipzoomfly. Stay AWAY from SVC.com.

My SVC horror story.
