My duron 700@950 just died, I think. I was using the system which wasn't too hot about 44C and the whole system just stopped, all power went out. I checked the cpu pins to see any sign of burnt or anything and there was oil-like liquid/moisture all over some of the pins and they looked like they must have came from the cooling paste. At first I thought the PS went out but upon re-inserting the cable plug to the board and turning it back on things went back to normal(powerwise). The system power on but won't post or boot up and the cpu heatsink remains completely cold. The fans and hard drive are normal. Is my board or cpu still "alright" after this? If I find a way to clean the cpu pins of the moisture without damaging it will it work again?
