Wanting to buy a C2 stepping Server type mobo, Supermicro seemed to have some good ones.
So, notes to newegg, amazon, tiger all come back "We have no idea what we have in stock, contact SM". As though SM would know.
Notes to SM confirm that both C1 and C2 steppings are in the chain. SM DO NOT consider C1 defective, so will not RMA.
Nor will they tell me if its possible to determine what stepping the board is presales.
So, at the moment, only ASROCK afaik appear to done the right thing to work around Intel's cockup and flagged their boxes C2.
Complete bloody balls up by a bunch of folks who don't give a fuck.
So, suggestions welcome. Anyone else making decent server mobos which have C2? Or should I give up on Haswell and stick to IB?
