As long as you don't make a mess of my yard, if there's something in the trash that you want, it's yours. I'd much rather see someone get some use out of it than it ending up in a landfill.

As far as taking stuff while the people are home, I don't care if they're standing right there watching me. I see something of value, I'll stop and pick it up. Saved a PIII based computer from the landfill a couple week ago. Just needs a new power supply and it's back up and running.

Why should someone be ashamed that they're poor? People who are ashamed to show how poor they are usually stay poor because they spend money unnecessarily to show how not poor they are.
