I work at a Nucleur Power plant for the summer and it is a requirement to get my "Red Badge" which allowes me into protected and radiologically controlled areas.

It was like a scanner that they rolled every one of my fingers on untill they had a good digital print. They took my whole handprint, both thumbs and all my fingers.

Err, in Argentina, it is mandatory to have 10 figer (or however many you got left) print on file with the police. That is why they (the police) burn off your prints when they kill you, or just dump you in the ocean to feed the crabs.

Yes, because my elementary school was devious. Kids at that age are eager to be fingerprinted. So we all rushed up to get it done. Now, of course, they have the prints.

That brings up a question though, are prints from kids still useful in law enforcement now that we are adults? Or was it only useful to law enforcement while we were still young? That is, do prints change substantially through puberty?

yes military entrance exam requires a full print and check with the FBI..

and a couple nights in jail too =P

Yes...but I was young (at most 12) and I don't remember the reason but it wasn't b/c of doing something wrong. We actually had to call up the police station to make an appointment for them to do it. Maybe it was for my citizenship or something. Honestly can't remember.
