They had me stick around until I farted.

Did they all start laughing minions-style when it finally happened?

People here will be pleased to know that unlike the colonoscopy before, my most recent one included my wife giving me a lift from and to so I could enjoy the pain meds... unlike the previous occasion when I drove and enjoyed pain meds, and had to wind the windows down on the way home and sing loudly to every song to stay awake while driving.

I've always felt so ripped-off, when I come out of anesthesia I'm fully lucid, I don't get to have any goofiness like some people.

I've only been on anesthesia twice and both times I felt like I pounded a liter of nyquil, this time for the colonoscopy and when I blew part of my thumb off. Both times I woke up groggy, slight headache and thirsty af.

I don't know why people still use the liquid when the pills are so much easier... I was worried like everyone, but the cleanse was way easier than the no eating part.

Also they used Propofol and that was great as well. Fell right asleep and woke up with no grogginess and fully aware like nothing happened. Only problem I had was the gas pain from the trapped air.

My doc had me use Miralax for a week, them Ducolax for 2 days, then the prep liquid starting about 24 hours before the procdure. By the time I went in, I could shit a stream through the eye of a needle at 50 paces…

Went in for my second visit Colon Cancer blood marker trial study today. They drew 4 vials of blood to test looking for a way to detect colon cancer through a simple blood test rather than get a camera shoved up your ass. It doesn't hurt that they pay 200 dollars per visit ( 15 minutes of my time ).

Sounds like overkill to me.

I did soft nonfiberous foods for three days the the day before starting at 2:00PM drinking the Miralax and Gatorade mixture until gone then Dulcolax pills 3. He showed me the images and my colon looked like clean pink bubble gum.

I was told insurances would cover the liquid vs. potentially having to pay for the pill.

I was told it would be same price either way. Personally the amount of money I would pay to avoid the liquid is pretty high, but thankfully it didn't matter in my case.

Quick question: Does it normally take a few days before you can drop a deuce again? Haven't been able to go since the procedure, even though I've felt like I needed to and tried.

Cologuard, crap in a box man.

I will warn you, the foul odor of the contents in the box, before you crap in it, are more foul than just crapping.

Wife had the procedure, I refused and would only crap in a box. Came back OK.

Still that effing odor of the liquid you crap into. Wear a mask or something.

Unfortunately, there are as many false negatives as there are false positives with those tests

You have to admit, it reminds you of the SNL sketch with Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg, (D in a box)

Still, I did my 50 yr one, they will have to put me under for a physical exam. I mean the you gotta have someone else drive you home stuff. Or they ain't getting up in there.

Yep. My wife doesn’t drive since her stroke. I had considered driving there, getting a hotel room for the night, taking dial- a-ride to the hotel after the procedure, but with a new-ish puppy, that wasn’t gonna work. I had to let my 20 year old grandson drive my truck. :shudder:

On the bright side, do you remember if he drove well?
