having some problems...

Yeah, well.. about 2 weeks ago or so, I hooked up my a7n8x deluxe motherboard, all installed fine, etc... used it for a week or so, then I started having some problems(windows would freeze etc.) so windows froze on Wednesday, I went to restart and post fine then windows wouldnt load(it would stay on the windows is loading screen) ... so I restarted and still nothing, so I did a format, reinstalled windows and everything loaded fine, I installed the nvidia drivers and had to restart, when I went to restart, it hung on the windows is loading screen, so I restarted and booted into windows under safe mode, uninstalled the nvidia drivers and restarted, and its still doing the same thing. So.. this is were I am now. I need soem suggestions... but here are my specs.

barton 2500+
a7n8x deluxe
buffalo pc3200 512mb(winbond chips)
WD 40gig SE, SAMSUNG 20gig hdd(both on primary IDE same cable, jumpers set to cable select)
52x CDROM, LiteOn burner(secondary IDE same cable)
geforce2 mx-400 64mb

the temps on the CPU were aroudn 40C ... so if anyone has any advice/suggestions/solutions please post here!

Sure would like to know how you got your Barton to run at 40c. Are you sure this is correct? I have the same board and processor and both run awful warm. I'm also using the same video card with no problems.

Let me get this straight, you re-loaded windows (what version?) and everything was ok until you loaded the nforce drivers? What version are the drivers?

40C isn't too bad at cruising speed. It's a bit high if it hits that right at boot up. Anyway, I'd make sure that your Bios is at the latest Rev, and you have the latest Nvidia Detonator driver for your vid card. Then uninstall your video driver, shut down, remove and reseat your vid card, boot up in safe mode, install your video driver, reboot, cross fingers
