HDMI port (via Adapter)

I not familiar with LCDs. The sticky helps but some the details do not make sense to me.

I am thinking about this getting this LCD for use with this GPU on a future gaming pc.

The card says it has one HDMI port via Adapter.
The LCD has D-Sub, HDMI but no DVI.

How would that perform in games? Would you recommend something else?
