Heatsink/ Fan installation ?

I just bought all the parts to a new system. This is my first time ever builiding a system from scratch. It is now time for me to install the heatsink/fan. I bought a cooler master Ep5-6I11. I have tried a couple of times to put it on the cpu, but it seems like i'm pushing to hard to secure the second clip. Is there supposed to be alot of force involved in installing it. I feel like i'm either gonna break the CPU or the mother board. Oh yeah it's an Athlon 1.2GHz ( If you wanna check out the rest of the stats then click on My rigs)

I installed my first heatsink/processor (Duron/GlobalWin FOP32-1) a few days ago and I would agree that a seemingly excessive amount of force was required to attach the second clip - I would actually like to remove the heatsink again to tamper with those L6's but am reluctant to do so because of the struggle of attaching that clip...maybe after a beer (or two)

I fitted the same heatsink for a friend the other day and I found the clip force was less than other brands I have fitted.
Having said that, it is still a big push to get it on.
Hook on your first side and gently lower the heatsink onto the chip so that it sits square. Don't push hard! Make sure it goes down flat.
Then, without pushing on the heatsink at all, push down with your thumb and hook the clip over the hook.
If you make sure the thing sits flat on the chip and you don't push too hard, you won't stuff it up.
And be carefull of the motherboard, you can do real damage with those clips.
You can remove the fan and bend the clip to relieve the tension, but make sure it goes back in tha same way.
