heatsink for Athlon XP 2700+

which heatsink is recommended for the Athlon XP 2700+ processor? i wont be doing much overclocking or anything. just to keep it cool and stable. thanks

SLK-800 all the way.
IMO and many websites, the best air cooled HS solution out.
Mine running with a YS-Tech silent fan (20dBa, 27CFM) and i get amazingly low temps with my XP1800.
Plus, you dont have to mess around taking your mob out to fir it, it uses a 3 clip design on both sides of the HS.

I use an Alpha 8045 with a 80mm Vantec Tornado not only does it keep my Cpu nice and cool it allows me to use my computer as a Jet airplane !!.......Man the air that the Vantec puts out is nothing short of amazing. However its VERY loud. I use a Rheostat so that I can tone it down during light duty and turn it up during heavy duty.

I vote for the Swiftech MCX462+, it seems to have the best temps, even a bit better than the SLK800 in some cases.

The SLK-800 is more fan scaleable than the swiftec HS. You can use a low or mid or high powered fan and still get good temperatures with it.
They are cheaper as well.
And you dont have to take out you motherboard to fit it.

I like the SLK-800 as well. Very efficient and you can choose a fan that best suits your system.
