I read somewhere on this forum that if you want to remove a video card that was glued on to your VGA, all you had to do was put it in a the freezer for a few minutes and pop it off. My heatsink also has clips on the side though.
Well, I think I did that, but with a can of compressed air. I think I put it too close to the heatsink on my ti4200 and now it overheats a lot. My monitor turns off every other minute.
If the heatsink is kind of off, then if I put it in the oven for a few minutes, then it'll fix the problem right? Or heat it up with a lighter for a minute?
I've got a 9600 Pro coming in the mail. But I just need to get this card working for a few days.
