Nobody in Off Topic cares about your technical knowledge.
Tips for OT:
Don't take anything anyone says personally. There is plenty of bashing and flaming. Most(ok, some) of it is all in good fun.
Don't expect more than 50% of the responses to a post to be serious.
Calibrate your sarcasm meter. You'll need it.
WHATEVER YOU DO, STAY AWAY FROM POLITICS AND NEWS. It's quite scary.
Two of our more infamous posters. Both are now banned forever: the former for Felony Abuse of the English Language, the second for being a troll of the highest order.Originally posted by: Hyperlite

Welcome to ATOT.
If you're a girl, you're required to link to a pic of your boobies.
If you're not a girl, you're required to link to a pic of your girlfriend's boobies.
If you don't have a girlfriend, you're required to link to a pic of your sister's boobies.
If none of the above, please sit in the corner with the rest of the geeks.

good morning/evening/afternoon/night everyone, i just joined the forums today and i'm looking foreward to spending time here learning as much as i can about as much as a can...if that makes sence...anyway, i'm 16, a sophomore in HS. before everone passes me off as a n00b (=P) i should say i have a lot of experience building computers, and i spend most of my free time either reading PCMag/MaximumPC/CPUMag and browsing tech forums and tech sites, so i guess you can say i should be able to hold my own when it gets to in-depth discussions. i'm a pretty avid gamer, but i'm impaciently awaiting EQ2, so my interest in general PC technology has sprung up once again.

While some people do post in the various sections of the AT forums, many people in OT spend 99% of their time in OT and aren't interested in the other sections. It's really almost a separate forum.
