HELP!...BIOS update problem

I have a BE6-II rev1.0a and when i try to go and update the BIOS it gives me an error saying "fail- due to EMM386 or QEMM"
what does this mean?!
if u need to know how i went about trying to update the BIOS, first a formatted a disk putting the system files on it, then the bios and awdflash utility. then I went into DOS and executed the awdflash, where i got the error.

WHen you went into DOS, make sure it was not thru Windows, but a clean restart with either hitting F8 or using your windows startup floppy

yes i did go thru pure dos...any other suggestions???

I have the KK266 board and you have to set it to flashable in the BIOS for it to work. Anything like that on your board?

Its telling you that you are still using memory management... use win98 to make a bootable floppy.. format A: sys and copy the flasher program and bios bin file to that disk.. reboot to the floppy and execute the flasher program
