Help Computer Shuts down Uncontroably!!!!!

I have a Soyo K7V Dragon Plus, Athlon XP 2100+, Geforce 4 Ti 4600, a maxtor quiet drive 80 gig hard drive, 1 cd-r/rw, and a 350 watt power supply. I am running Win XP Pro on it. I will be using my computer and it will just shut down. No warning or anything! Is it overheating or what is the deal? Please help!

Computers will reboot themselves if the ps is bad, but that may not be your problem. If you have an extra one lying around swap it in and see.

XP has also (by default) taken the liberty of rebooting your system instead of displaying the Blue Screen Of Death. There is some option hidden somewhere (sorry I dont recall where or what it is called) to turn off the auto-reboot. You may want to look into that and see if that is your problem.

Other options are to boot the computer with the minimum parts it needs to run (ie no lan card, sound card, tv tuner etc) and do stability tests on it. One of your cards may be giving you grief. Swapping the parts in one by one may help you find the cause
