So, he has to limit himself to women with a skinny guy fetish? Being really thin is cool? Your response has caused my intarwebs multimeter to malfunction.Originally posted by: Muse
Don't worry about it. Being really thin is cool, not something to be worried about, much less ashamed. I had a girlfriend who was fixated on really thin guys. Just go with it and believe me, you'll find women who dig you just the way you are.
It caught me off guard as well. I had reserved my sarcasm meter for OT and couldn't tell if Muse's comments warranted it or not, haha.
Well, considering the fact that the vast majority are trying to lose weight, not gain it, the OP's problem might be seen as a nonproblem as long as he's healthy. Judging from the OP, I'd say he's not unhealthy, at least he doesn't seem to think he's unhealthy. If he's judged to be unhealthy based on the statistics (20 years old, 107 lb., 5'7"), well, I can't argue. I don't have an opinion on that. He says he's strong.
The calcium isn't in my view particularly involved in his posture concerns, although if he's got reduced bone density, that would be bad. If he's got medical insurance, he should pursue what that doctor said about the calcium and find out what his blood calcium level is and if it's actually low, have a bone density test to make sure his bones are strong.
I didn't say he has to limit himself to women with a thin guy fetish, I was just pointing out that they exist and he shouldn't assume he's not attractive just because he's thin. Look at Daniel Day Lewis in The Unbearable Lightness of Being. He did well enough with the women, eh?
Weights and weight room equipment are a very good way to put on muscle, everyone knows that. It can be very enjoyable, certainly. I suggested tennis and basketball only because they are big fun and don't seem arduous if you enjoy them. IMO, it's easier to love those sports than weight lifting. Some of the best built guys I've seen are that way for the most part because they loved basketball. The best tennis player in the world looks like a weakling, except for his legs, though. It's amazing the bodies that basketball freaks have.
