Help me decide

OK this is the case I bought the other day

Similar to a compucase 6919

Please do not ask why I went and did some of the bezel silver

This is what I want to do (so far):

(all my drives are silver using the vinyl dye method, although I am willing to redo them another color)

- paint the chassis
- install top & side windows or cut a design into the case
- basic fans or LED fans (2 - 80mm & 1-120mm)
- install cathode lights
- punch out the fan grills and add acrylic grills
- leave the case black or go with another color

Please try to help me decide what to do, I do not want it to be a typical black case with a red or blue lights -- What would you do to it?

hey what about the inside being green or yellow? I just can not think of anything great for this case

Yea, I was always fond of silver and black themes. BTW, welcome to the forums! Anyway, that case is similar to any other Chieftec, Chenming, Antec knockoff so if you want some ideas just look around, there will be plenty of eye candy for ideas. If you're going with the silver theme you can just leave the inside how it is. Here's what I'd think would look cool with that:

Add a switchbus to your 3.5" or 5.25" to switch on and off your cathodes (get three of them, one top, one side, and one bottom, probably UV purple or blue) then cut out a simple but sexy window on the top and sides like you said. Except "tint" your acrylic with some black vinyl dye or actual window tint. Using the vinyl dye, just spray and dry immediately with a hair dryer in thin but even coats, that can do the mock "tinting" job pretty well. Then if you can find silver molding, put that around your tinted black acrylic. Do this on both top and side windows and put a nice silver applique on each window. On first glance, you'll have a completely black and silver case. Then switch on the cathodes with the switchbus and voila! Your panels can now show up the innards of your case with some backlighting and will accent the applique fairly well.

Cool idea - something along the lines of a stealth window. Thanks lchyi. I was thinking of stealthing the drives and putting a design of some sort on the drive bay covers.
