Help: new house with central unit

I'm a little lost as to how to get things up and running. I've linked some images that shows what we have at this new house. I've got roadrunner cable internet.

One of those coaxials on the left is hot; so I can hook up my cablemodem in here. From there, I dont know what else I need. Do I need a switch/router/hub? or is that unit there acting as my hub? And where would I be inserting all those plugs? Thanks in advance for your help.

In any case, what you will need to do is plug your cable modem into the hot coax line. Then you will plug a router (not a switch or hub) into the cable modem (WAN port) and then plug your other computers into the router (LAN ports).

Ahh, okay. It looks like that device is for VoIP, which would also explain why it has it's own color coded ethernet cables.

Do the yellow ethernet cables run to jacks around the house? Or do the grey cables go to the wall jacks?

Regardless, you will still need a cable modem and a router. Although if those grey cables are the ethernet for computer networking you should consider modem, router and then a 16-port switch.

The wall mount has a jack for both actually. I opened it up to look and sure enough, both the green and the yellow cables lead to it. Also, the green and the yellow cables have the same wiring from what I can tell (stripes/colors/solids etc).
