*help* Okay now which CPU

I have spent several weeks determining which Mobo, memory, GPU and now I am to the CPU.

So far I have gotten a MSI Neo2, 2x1gb of Gskill DDR2, and 8800gt or 3870 (haven't ordered this yet).

So now I am about to buy a processor. I not looking at hardcore OCing just enough to pretend like I tweaked my system out. I find that a quad core will not do much for my applications. Gaming and uhh gaming.

I see that in a few days the 45n hit the scene and the prices look good. I am going for spending less than $200.00 on my CPU. The idea of lower power consumption sounds really good to me (even though I may truly not even see a difference).

So please help a guy out and point me in the correct direction on which processor I am looking at picking up.

(just to note I have looked and looked there really is too much information out there to help me narrow the information down. I keep running into reviews on super CPUs and Way over the top OCing and these reviews and trail runs do not answer my questions)

The E6750 seems good for your price range.

If you're looking at the new 45nm parts, the Wolfdale core E8200 should be all the power you need for games and it'll be under $200.

get a e2160 and oc to 3ghz. then get quad penryn when prices go down. thats what im doing.

not a criticism..just a comment..put in price range of 200 to 600 and selected all other values and it got an error on the page and didnt do anything..changed variables..still nothing. i like your idea, though

I presume you are using IE, since it seems to be working fine in Firefox. Anyway, I fixed the problem and it should work fine in IE too.

Mom and dad will not be paying the electric bill forever, they will see a difference, do it for them

here here! (as a dad who is trying to encourage kids to turn off the lights, computers, close doors in the winter, tvs off, etc etc when not using)
