I have a ATI Radeon 7500 with a DVI, CRT and S-Video port.

PREVIOUSLY I had a CRT monitor hooked up to the CRT port and a TV hooked up to the S-Video port and everything worked flawlessly.

NOW I am running a 19inch CRT monitor in the CRT port, I am running a 19 inch CRT monitor in the dvi port using a crt-to-dvi adaptor, lastly I have a TV hooked up to the S-Video port. My problem is that both the CRT monitors are working great, BUT the TV will now not recieve a signal. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with my problem and tell me why this is happening or what to do to fix it. Thanks!

Text..You will find this a good resource, check multi-monitor.

As of yet, I have not hooked up but one. I bookmarked this site awhile back. Hope it helps.

Welcome to the forums. The video forum is about gaming but there are a few here that will help on monitor set-up.

All the TV will do is clone the monitor on the VGA port. Won't be able to have 3 displays with 3 different things being displayed. If you go to ATI you can get the manual for your card it shows what type of multi monitor support is available. Under customer care is product manuals.

I have actually used the TV as a second monitor just great though so I know that that works... The only problem is getting the dvi AND s-video port to work at the same time. It appears I have to pick one or the other.

Welcome to AT Forums.

Unfortunately, the card is only capable of dual display whether it be VGA+TV or VGA+VGA.

Your best bet is to get a pci video card (with a tv out if you prefer).

You can have triple display, BUT:

1) The TV will always be a clone of one of the other displays.
2) One of the other displays has to be on digital DVI.

The reason for (1) is that the Radeon has only two output pipelines not three. (2) is because it has only two RAMDACs and thus can serve no more than two analog displays.

In other words, you can have CRT+TV+DVID, but not CRT+TV+CRT(DVIA). Your card's manual says so too ...

Adding a PCI card for extra displays under XP is relatively painless as well. I'm running two 20" LCD panels, one on my AGP card and one on a PCI (ended up using this solution as to have two DVI outputs instead of running one panel on VGA).
